Dr. Waleed Al-Khyatt is a highly accomplished Consultant Bariatric, Upper Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgeon, with over 14 years of specialist experience in minimally invasive, bariatric (obesity), and upper GI surgery.
He is UK-trained, having completed his higher surgical training through the Royal College of Surgeons of England, where he earned his FRCS and Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Dr. Al-Khyatt further advanced his expertise through a post-CCT Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at St Richard’s International Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Centre of Excellence in Chichester, UK.
Dr. Al-Khyatt holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham for his pioneering research on oestrogen receptors and oesophageal cancer, and has published more than 50 scientific papers and book chapters. He also serves as an Honorary Consultant Assistant Professor in Surgery at the University of Nottingham Medical School.
