WEGOVY®—NOW IN A PILL

Wegovy® Pill Weight-Loss Programme in Dubai

Once-daily oral semaglutide with specialist medical, bariatric nurse and dietitian support.

No injections • Once-daily treatment • Doctor prescribed

Wegovy® is now available as a once-daily pill in Dubai, providing a new oral treatment option for suitable adults living with obesity or weight-related health concerns.

The Wegovy® pill contains semaglutide—the same active ingredient used in Wegovy® injection—but it is taken by mouth and follows its own specific dose and administration pathway.

At Allure Weightloss, the pill is delivered through a structured three-month medical programme combining doctor assessment, prescribed treatment, specialist bariatric nurse monitoring and dietitian-led support.

What Is the Wegovy® Pill?

The Wegovy® pill is an oral GLP-1 receptor agonist containing semaglutide. It is taken once daily and is prescribed for weight management in eligible adults alongside nutritional change and physical activity.

Semaglutide acts on appetite-regulating pathways in the brain and digestive system. Treatment may help:

Reduce hunger and food cravings

Increase feelings of fullness

Support smaller portions

Reduce overall calorie intake

Make healthier eating patterns easier to maintain

It is a prescription medication, not an over-the-counter slimming tablet, supplement or unregulated peptide product.

Wegovy® Pill and Wegovy® Injection—What Is the Difference?

Both treatments contain semaglutide, but they are administered differently and follow separate dose pathways.

Comparison Wegovy® Pill Wegovy® Injection
Active Ingredient Semaglutide Semaglutide
Format Oral tablet Pre-filled injection pen

Administration Taken in the morning on an empty stomach with plain water. A waiting period is required before food, drinks or other oral medication. Injected under the skin in accordance with the instructions provided by the prescribing clinician.

One format is not automatically better for every patient. Your doctor will consider clinical suitability, treatment preference, current medication and your ability to follow the administration instructions correctly.

How Do I Take the Wegovy® Pill?

Correct administration is important because it affects how the medication is absorbed. Unless your prescribing clinician gives different locally applicable instructions, the Wegovy® pill should be:

If a dose is missed, do not take two pills together. Follow the instructions supplied with your medication and contact your clinical team if you are unsure.

Who May Be Suitable?

The Wegovy® pill may be considered for adults who:

Suitability cannot be determined from BMI alone. Your doctor must review your health, current medication, previous GLP-1 treatment, relevant personal and family history and any factors that may make semaglutide unsuitable

How Wegovy® Treatment Works

Treatment begins at a low oral dose and is increased gradually to improve tolerability. The licensed dose pathway progresses through different tablet strengths towards the maintenance dose.

Dose escalation is directed by the prescribing doctor. Your clinician may keep you at a dose for longer if you are experiencing side effects or if a slower increase is clinically appropriate. You should never increase the dose yourself.

Expected Progress with Wegovy®

In the OASIS 4 clinical study, adults taking once-daily oral semaglutide 25 mg alongside diet and physical activity achieved:

  • Approximately 13.6% average weight reduction at 64 weeks when results included participants regardless of whether they remained on treatment; and

  • Approximately 16.6% average weight reduction at 64 weeks in the analysis assuming participants remained on treatment

These figures are clinical study averages, not guaranteed individual outcomes. Results vary according to starting weight, dose, treatment duration, adherence, nutrition, activity, side effects and medical history.

Why Choose Allure for the Wegovy® Pill in Dubai?

A Medical Programme—not Simply a Tablet

Weight-loss medication works best when it is properly prescribed, monitored and combined with meaningful nutritional change. Our programme supports all three elements.

Specialist Nurse Support

Supported programmes include regular bariatric nurse contact to review progress, discuss symptoms and help you remain engaged with treatment.

Support During Dose Escalation

Symptoms can be more noticeable when starting treatment or increasing the dose. Our nurse-led support gives you a direct route for advice, monitoring and escalation where necessary.

A Complete Weight-Loss Provider

Allure specialises exclusively in medical weight management across medication, gastric balloons and bariatric surgery. If oral treatment is not the right option, we can help you understand the wider pathway.

Prefer Once-Weekly Treatment?

Wegovy® is also available as a once-weekly injection. The injection avoids the daily fasting and waiting routine required by the pill, but it must be administered under the skin.
