360° care, led by Allure
Assessment. Treatment. Nutrition. Follow-up. Your team, throughout.
Bariatric surgery is part of a long-term programme.
Bariatric and metabolic surgery changes the digestive anatomy to support weight management and obesity-related health. The aim is more than a smaller number on the scale: it is improved health, wellbeing and a sustainable way of eating.
Allure specialises in medical weight management. We manage your preparation, nutritional care and aftercare, with consultant-led procedures performed in licensed hospitals. Your Allure relationship continues throughout recovery and maintenance.
COMPARE YOUR PATHWAYS
Which weight-loss surgery is right for you?
Each procedure has different anatomy, benefits and long-term considerations. Your consultant helps you compare appropriate options based on your health and goals.
SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY
Gastric Sleeve
A permanent smaller stomach, without bypassing the bowel. Understand appetite changes, reflux considerations and the support after surgery.
ROUX-EN-Y GASTRIC BYPASS
Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
A small stomach pouch and a Y-shaped bowel route. Explore the metabolic benefits, nutritional requirements and recovery.
ONE-ANASTOMOSIS GASTRIC BYPASS
Mini Gastric Bypass
One-anastomosis gastric bypass changes the stomach and food pathway. Learn why bile reflux and nutrition need careful assessment.
SPECIALIST CARE AFTER PREVIOUS SURGERY
Revision Bariatric Surgery
A cause-led review after previous surgery. Explore options for reflux, complications, insufficient response or weight recurrence.
YOUR JOURNEY, LED BY ALLURE
Prepare. Treat. Recover. Maintain.
01 · Assess & prepare
We begin with health, medication and previous-treatment history. Your consultant explains suitable operations, alternatives and risks. Your Allure team guides nutrition, tests and the preparation plan.
02 · Surgery & recovery
Your operation takes place in a licensed hospital. The surgeon and hospital team manage anaesthesia, surgery and discharge. Allure supports your transition into the recovery and diet plan.
03 · Build & maintain
Your Allure nurses and dietitians guide food progression, symptoms and new habits. Structured follow-up supports weight, nutrition and metabolic health over the next two years.
INDIVIDUAL CLINICAL ASSESSMENT
Am I suitable for weight-loss surgery?
BMI is part of the assessment, alongside obesity-related health problems, past treatment, reflux, nutritional health and ability to engage with follow-up. International guidance recommends surgery at BMI 35 or above, and consideration at BMI 30–34.9 in selected clinical circumstances.
These are guidance thresholds, not automatic eligibility or local insurance criteria. Your UAE consultant confirms the appropriate pathway and any facility requirements. Revision is assessed according to the previous operation and current problem.
READY FOR THE NEXT STEP
What happens before surgery?
- Consultant assessment and informed consent
- Blood tests and other investigations as clinically indicated
- Dietitian review and an individual preparation plan
- Medication, smoking and anaesthetic-risk review
- A liver-reduction diet if prescribed by your team
- Clear fasting, admission and discharge instructions
Follow your team’s written instructions. Do not stop medicines or begin a restrictive pre-operative diet without their advice.
RECOVERY, STEP BY STEP
Your diet after weight-loss surgery
Food texture changes gradually while your stomach heals. Your Allure dietitian explains what to eat, how much and when to move to the next stage.
STAGE 1Smooth liquidsSmall, regular sips. Prioritise hydration and suitable protein-rich fluids.Examples
Suitable protein shake; milk; smooth, strained nourishing soup.
STAGE 2Puréed foodsSmooth, lump-free textures in small portions, introduced when approved.Examples
Smooth blended lentils, or chicken blended with broth. No lumps, skins or seeds.
STAGE 3Soft foodsSoft, moist meals. Eat slowly and chew thoroughly.Examples
Soft scrambled egg; moist flaky fish; well-cooked, fork-mashed vegetables.
STAGE 4Regular texturesGradual return to balanced meals, with a long-term protein and portion plan.Examples
A small balanced meal: suitable protein, cooked vegetables and a modest carbohydrate portion.
Your plan sets the pace. Timing varies with the operation and recovery. Follow the written hospital and Allure dietitian plan; do not advance a stage if you cannot tolerate it. This surgical pathway is different from a gastric balloon recovery plan.

Benefits matter. So does understanding the risks.
All bariatric operations carry risks, including bleeding, infection, blood clots, anaesthetic complications and leaks. Long-term risks vary by operation and may include reflux, ulcers, bowel complications or nutritional deficiencies. Your consultant explains the risks relevant to your operation and health before consent.
Seek urgent medical care for severe or worsening abdominal or chest pain, breathing difficulty, fever, a racing heart, repeated vomiting, inability to keep fluids down, vomiting blood, black stools or one-sided calf swelling.
In a medical emergency in the UAE, call 998. Contact Allure for ongoing recovery support, but do not wait for a WhatsApp reply in an emergency.
How much does weight-loss surgery cost in Dubai?
The cost depends on the operation, hospital, consultant assessment, investigations and care included. Revision costs also depend on the previous anatomy and complexity of the planned procedure.
Allure provides a personalised programme quote after assessment. We explain the hospital treatment, preparation and aftercare included, and any exclusions or additional costs, so you can make an informed decision.
Weight-loss surgery FAQs
Allure supports gastric sleeve, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, mini or one-anastomosis gastric bypass and revision pathways. Each operation changes the digestive anatomy differently; your consultant explains which options are suitable.
For suitable patients, bariatric surgery can improve weight-related conditions and metabolic health. The degree of benefit varies. Your clinical team continues to review existing medicines and health conditions after surgery.
Surgery is intended as long-term treatment. Sleeve surgery permanently removes part of the stomach; bypass operations change the food pathway. Weight recurrence remains possible, so nutritional care and long-term follow-up are important.
A specialist revision assessment can investigate reflux, complications, insufficient response or weight recurrence. Your consultant considers the cause and alternatives before recommending another operation.
Allure guides assessment and preparation, nutrition, nurse support and structured two-year clinical aftercare. Your written quote confirms the specific hospital treatment and programme inclusions.
Yes. Depending on suitability, medical weight-loss programmes or gastric balloons may be appropriate. Your Allure assessment considers the full treatment pathway rather than one operation alone.
A full range of weight-management treatments
Surgery is not the right starting point for everyone. Your Allure clinician can also discuss gastric balloons in Dubai or weight-loss medication programmes, with nutrition and clinical support appropriate to your treatment.
