How Wegovy® Treatment Works
Wegovy® is injected under the skin once each week. Treatment generally begins with a low dose and is increased gradually to help the body adjust.
The usual dose stages are 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, 1.7 mg and 2.4 mg once weekly. This is not an automatic monthly schedule for every patient. Your prescribing doctor may delay escalation, maintain a dose or alter the plan based on your response and tolerability.
Your clinical team will explain how to use and store your prescribed pen and what to do if you miss a dose.
