In STEP 1, adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition, without diabetes lost an average of 14.9% of their starting body weight with weekly semaglutide 2.4 mg and lifestyle support, compared with 2.4% with placebo and lifestyle support. The 14.9% figure includes participants regardless of treatment discontinuation or rescue treatment. It is commonly rounded to 15%. Your own progress can differ: dose, treatment duration, tolerability, nutrition and activity all matter. A study duration is not a fixed treatment course for every patient.
